Artificial turf, also known as synthetic turf, mainly consists of grass fibers, a backing fabric, and infill. The grass fibers are typically made from polymers such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyamide (PA, also known as nylon). PE grass fibers are soft and realistic, suitable for sports fields; PP is low-cost and wear-resistant, and is mostly used in recreational areas; PA combines sports and recreational performance. The backing structure provides support and stability, and the addition of UV stabilizers and flame retardants extends its lifespan. It has excellent all-weather performance and is unaffected by climate.
